Print Operation Order Report

The Print Operation Order Report creates the official Operation Order document using the information entered in the Manage Operation Order section.

The report follows the standard five-paragraph military Operation Order format.

Report Header

The top left of the report displays: Headquarters Battalion

Below the battalion name, the report displays the date and time the order was created.

The format is: DDHHMM MONTH YEAR

Example: 261000 MARCH 2026

Meaning:

  • 26th day
  • 10:00 AM
  • March 2026

The top right displays: OPORD -

Example: OPORD HQ 25/26 001-0000

Below the OPORD identification, the operation name is displayed.

Example: OPERATION ACT TAKE DOWN

Operation Order Sections

The Operation Order is divided into five sections.

1. Situation

The Situation section displays the information entered into the Situation page of the Manage Operation Order form.

This section explains:

  • The background of the event
  • The reason Cadets are participating
  • Who requested support

2. Mission

The Mission section displays the mission information entered into the Manage Operation Order form.

This includes:

  • Who
  • What
  • Where
  • When
  • Why

3. Execution

The Execution section displays the steps required to complete the event.

All steps are automatically formatted into an alphabetical list.

Example:

a. The objective is putting up chairs and tables. b. Cadets will gather at the Range. c. Cadets will assist with cleanup after the event.

4. Service and Support

The Service and Support section displays logistical information for the event.

Information is formatted into an alphabetical list.

This section may include:

  • Physical Address
  • Service Hours
  • Uniform of the Day
  • Meal Plan
  • Transportation Plan
  • Special Equipment
  • Additional Details

Example:

a. Event location: East Ridge High School Gym. b. Cadets will wear Class B uniforms. c. Transportation will be provided by Cadre.

5. Command and Signal

The Command and Signal section displays all leadership and communication information.

This includes:

  • Point of Contact
  • Cadre overseeing the event
  • OIC
  • NCOIC
  • Chaperones
  • Phone numbers

The information is formatted into an alphabetical list.

If Cadets are participating in the event, the report will automatically display: See Annex A for contact list of participants.

Required Approvals

Before an Operation Order is considered complete, it must be signed and approved by:

  • S-3 or Assistant S-3
  • Battalion Commander (BC) or Executive Officer (XO)
  • Senior Army Instructor (SAI) or Army Instructor (AI)

Annex A - Participant Roster

Annex A begins on a new page while keeping the same Operation Order header.

Annex A provides accountability for participating Cadets.

Participant Fields

The roster contains:

Field Description
Task Organization Assigned organization/team
Signed Up Whether the Cadet was selected in the Manage Operation Order form
Appeared Whether the Cadet attended the event

Cadet List

Cadets are displayed in a numbered list.

Each entry displays: C/Rank Last Name, First Name

If a phone number exists in Manage Cadets, it will also display: C/Rank Last Name, First Name (Phone Number)

Each Cadet will show:

  • Signed Up status
  • Appeared status

Production Information

The bottom left of the report displays production accountability information.

Example:

Order Produced by Doe, J. - 028

as of 3/26/2026 10:09:59 AM

This displays:

  • The person who generated the report
  • The total number of Operation Orders they have created at that time
  • The exact date and time the report was generated
